BACK TO SCHOOL: Fancy Nancy - JoJo's First Day Jitters by Jane O'Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser

It is Nancy’s little sister, JoJo’s, first day of preschool and she has the jitters (that’s a fancy way of saying she’s nervous.)  Nothing Nancy or their mom is doing is helping much until Nancy becomes inspired (she thinks up a great idea!) and helps JoJo feel less nervous.

I really liked all the vocabulary words in this book and the way they are explained.  This was the first Fancy Nancy book I have read so I think I might be a fan!  This story is also a great way to help children who have first-day jitters feel a little better.  It is also a fantastic big sibling helping a younger sibling story.  The lift-the-flap feature adds a dimension of interaction for youngsters.
